Whilst it has not been an easy year – the Town Centre project has been particularly frustrating. However, it could now be reaching a solution for the Town Square and Canal Wharf that the Town asked for. West Berks has been short staffed so we have not been able to move on the Conservation Area reassessment, but the plan is that over the winter we will put together the background for the document, and then do the footwork next summer. Hopefully, West Berks should have the staff to support us by then. 

I hope that the time I spent on West Berks Council for Hungerford and Kintbury has proved of some use to the Town Council – I am attempting to make use of that in Environment and Planning, in Highways and Transport and now in Finance, as well as assisting as Deputy Mayor.
