Supporting Young People in Hungerford – Youth Forum Visit

On 5 October, Hungerford Youth & Community Centre welcomed Lee Dillon MP to meet with members of the Youth Forum, alongside Hungerford Mayor, Cllr Jerry Keates, who is a strong supporter of young people and local youth provision.

The young people had prepared a range of thoughtful questions in advance, providing an opportunity to discuss issues that matter to them and hear directly from their local MP. The meeting encouraged open discussion, active participation and meaningful engagement with matters affecting young people and their community.

Hungerford Town Council is pleased to support opportunities that enable young people to express their views, develop confidence and understand how they can contribute to decisions that affect their lives and the wider community.

Thank you Lee Dillon MP for taking the time to meet with the Youth Forum and answer the young people's questions, and Mayor Cllr Jerry Keates for his continued encouragement and commitment to supporting youth provision in Hungerford.

Most importantly, we congratulate the Youth Forum members on their preparation, enthusiasm and valuable contributions.

Hungerford Town Council recognises the importance of listening to young people's voices and supporting opportunities for them to participate in community life.
